Volcano®'s global clinical studies are generally post-marketing studies (using FDA-cleared IVUS products) conducted to provide clinical data pertaining to diagnostics effectiveness and disease treatment options. The studies vary in design and include, single center trials, registries, and prospective and randomized trials. The goal of our group is to identify, risk assess and guide percutaneous interventional and pharmacological approaches. For some trials, Volcano is the sole sponsor of the trial, while in other trials, Volcano has been the co-sponsor with other device and pharmaceutical companies.
