Scott Huennekens, President and CEO

Scott Huennekens has served as our President and Chief Executive Officer and as a member of our board of directors since April 2002. From January 2000 to March 2002, Mr. Huennekens served as the President and Chief Executive Officer of Digirad Corporation, a medical imaging company. Mr. Huennekens holds a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Southern California and an M.B.A. from Harvard University.

John Dahldorf, Chief Financial Officer and Secretary

John T. Dahldorf has served as our Chief Financial Officer and Secretary since July 2003. From March 2002 to December 2002, Mr. Dahldorf served as Co-Chief Executive Officer of Digirad Corporation, a medical imaging company, where he also served as the Chief Financial Officer from November 2001 to December 2002. From March 1999 to November 2001, Mr. Dahldorf served as the Finance Director of Arrow Electronics, Inc., a distributor of electronic components and computer products. Mr. Dahldorf holds a B.B. in Finance and an M.B.A. from Western Illinois University.

Vincent J. Burgess, Executive Vice President, New Business Initiatives & Marketing

Vincent J. Burgess has served as our Vice President of Business Development and Marketing since August 2002. From May 1994 to June 2002, Mr. Burgess served as Vice President of Sorrento Associates, Inc., which is the general partner of Sorrento Ventures, a venture capital firm. Mr. Burgess holds a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Southern California and an M.B.A. from the University of California, Los Angeles.

John F. Sheridan, Executive Vice President, Operations

John F. Sheridan has served as our Executive Vice President of Research and Development and Operations since November 2004. From May 2002 to May 2004, Mr. Sheridan served as Executive Vice President of Operations at CardioNet, Inc., a medical technology company. From March 1998 to May 2002, he served as Vice President of Operations at Digirad Corporation, a medical imaging company. Mr. Sheridan holds a B.S. degree in Chemistry from the University of West Florida and an M.B.A. from Boston University.

George Quinoy, Vice President of Global Sales

Jorge J. Quinoy has served as our Vice President of Global Sales since July 2003. From August 2001 to July 2003, Mr. Quinoy served as the Vice President of Sales for Jomed, Inc., a medical technology company. From January 2001 to August 2001, Mr. Quinoy served as the Vice President of Sales for Altiva Corporation, a medical technology company. From 1999 to 2000, Mr. Quinoy served as vice president of sales for Medtronic AVE, Inc. Mr. Quinoy holds a B.S. in Public Relations and Marketing from the University of Florida.

D. Geoffrey Vince, PhD, Clinical Affairs and Advanced R&D.

D. Geoffrey Vince has recently been announced as our Vice President of Clinical and Scientific Affairs. From Jan 2005 to June 2006, Dr. Vince was Director of Research for Volcano. Prior to joining Volcano, he was an Associate Professor in the Biomedical Engineering Department at Cleveland Clinic and is the senior inventor of VH™ IVUS. Dr. Vince holds a PhD in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Liverpool in the UK.

Michel E. Lussier, President, Volcano Europe and Clinical and Scientific Affairs

Michel E. Lussier has served as Managing Director of Volcano Europe since March 2006. From July 2002 to March 2006, Mr. Lussier served as our Vice President, General Manager of Europe, Africa and Middle East Operations. In February 2002, Mr. Lussier founded MedPole S.A./N.V., a European distribution incubator for medical device start up companies located in Brussels. From October 1998 to January 2002, Mr. Lussier served as the Vice President and General Manager, Europe of Novoste Corp., a medical technology company. Mr. Lussier holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and an M.S. in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Montreal and an M.B.A. from INSEAD.

M Pauliina Margolis, MD, PhD, VP of Scientific Affairs and Medical Director

M Pauliina Margolis has served as our Medical Director since January 2002 as well as Vice President of Scientific Affairs since June 2006. From January 2000 she worked with several start up, venture capital, and larger companies in the Silicon Valley, CA as a medical consultant or director. She has internal medicine specialty from University of Helsinki, Finland, PhD in cardiac physiology with post doctoral training in the University of Cincinnati on coronary ischemia, interventional cardiology training from the University of Edinburgh, Scotland, and Stanford Business School on Early Business Development. She has over 50 original scientific publications and has written several book chapters on cardiology.

Junichi Osawa, President and Managing Director of Volcano Japan

President and Managing Director of Volcano Japan Mr. Osawa comes to Volcano with over 25 years of experience in the medical device industry. He spent almost two decades with GE Yokogawa Medical Systems, Tokyo and GE's Global Ultrasound Business as Managing Director. More recently, Mr. Osawa worked at Medtronic, Inc. as the Managing Director of the vascular business in Japan, where he had responsibility of cross functional teams including marketing, sales, customer support, regulatory, clinical functions and distribution. Mr. Osawa graduated with a BS degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from AOYAMA GAKUIN UNIVERSITY, School of Technology and Science Tokyo, Japan.

Connie L. Garrett, SPHR, Vice President, Global Human Resources

Connie Garrett comes to Volcano with over 25 years of Human Resources experience in the medical device industry. Most recently, Connie was providing Human Resources consulting services to small to medium size organizations primarily in the area of organizational development. From 1999 to 2004, Connie served as the Vice President, Global Human Resources for ResMed, Inc. From 1989 to 1999, she served as Director of Human Resources for the Hospital Division of Nellcor Puritan Bennett. Prior experience includes Human Resources roles at Gen-Probe and IVAC Corporation. Connie holds a Senior Professional in Human Resources Certification (SPHR), is a member of the American Compensation Association and Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) and trained by Development Dimensions, Inc (DDI) in Job Analysis, Targeted Selection, and Interaction Management Leadership Development Programs.

Paul J Zalesky, PhD, Vice President of Research & Development

Dr. Zalesky has been the Vice President of Research & Development since July 2007. Most recently, he consulted for several large medical product corporations, and emerging medical device companies, in the areas of operating strategies and technology assessment. From 2003 to 2005 Dr Zalesky was Pres. And CEO of LumeRx, an emerging photo therapy company. From 1995 to 2003 he served as Chief Operating and Technical Officer for TherOx, an emerging medical specialty company he co-founded in 1995. Dr. Zalesky had previously co-founded and managed InterTherapy, a start-up developing IVUS technology, as well as serving as a VP of R&D within Baxter. Dr. Zalesky holds a PhD in Biomedical Engineering from the Univ. of Michigan, an MS in Aerospace Engineering from the Univ. of Michigan, and a BS in Aerospace Engineering from the Univ. of Notre Dame
